You're supposed to make it a vertical line, like this: |
Also, it's apparent that the stroke order on 甘い is wrong. First you should do the upper horizontal line, then the two vertical lines (first left, then right) and then the lower horizontal lines. However it shows that you went from the left vertical line to the lower horizontal line, in one stroke apparently.
Might be nitpicking, but if you want to make it look like caligraphy you should pay attention to details like that.
